2011 was no 1997, ’97 produced such cringe-worthy hits like Barbie Girl, Mmm Bop, My Heart Will Go On and acts like the Spice Girls were chart toppers. Regardless, here’s a list of the songs I found to be the most annoying, change-the-channel, wish I were deaf, AWFUL… you get the picture!

Woke up this morning and felt like putting together a mix of the top ten songs of 2011. I compiled the list using MTV.com, Billboard, Mediabase, Z 100 and a little bit of my own personal opinion. I’ve been working on these custom crafted New Year’s Eve 2012 Countdowns for myself and wanted to share them with my DJ friends. I used elements of DiscoTech’s Quamunist countdown vocals into my own version of Auld Lang Syne into my own hybrid/Frankenstein edit of Chuckie & R3hab’s remix of We Found Love. Free download… enjoy! The Auld Lang Syne mix was custom crafted in Ableton using synths, keys, and filters… I really like the way it came out.
