2011 was no 1997, ’97 produced such cringe-worthy hits like Barbie Girl, Mmm Bop, My Heart Will Go On and acts like the Spice Girls were chart toppers. Regardless, here’s a list of the songs I found to be the most annoying, change-the-channel, wish I were deaf, AWFUL… you get the picture!

Woke up this morning and felt like putting together a mix of the top ten songs of 2011. I compiled the list using MTV.com, Billboard, Mediabase, Z 100 and a little bit of my own personal opinion. I’ve been working on these custom crafted New Year’s Eve 2012 Countdowns for myself and wanted to share them with my DJ friends. I used elements of DiscoTech’s Quamunist countdown vocals into my own version of Auld Lang Syne into my own hybrid/Frankenstein edit of Chuckie & R3hab’s remix of We Found Love. Free download… enjoy! The Auld Lang Syne mix was custom crafted in Ableton using synths, keys, and filters… I really like the way it came out. Merry Christmas, or should I say… Mele Kalikimaka from sunny Bonita Springs, Florida. I’m enjoying six days of vacation in retirement central, right in between Naples and Fort Myers. Spending lots of time by the pool and with family, and also noticing a lot of similarities between Seinfeld’s Del Boca Vista and Phase II of Pines of Mar Garbles…
